How sampling works

How custom karate mitts and protectors are made

Pads and protectors are layered foam cores wrapped in a stitched outer, with straps and handles built to take repeated impact.

  1. Specification

Shape, size, foam thickness, outer material, strap layout and branding are agreed in writing.

  2. Cutting

Outer panels are cut from leather, PU or vinyl; foam layers are cut to the pad's shape.

  3. Foam core

High-density and softer foams are laminated into the core so the pad absorbs strikes without bottoming out.

  4. Branding

Logos and target marks are printed, embossed or embroidered on the outer panels.

  5. Stitching and binding

The outer is stitched around the core, edges are bound, and straps, buckles, handles or hook-and-loop closures are reinforced and sewn in.

  6. Inspection and packing

Seams, strap strength, fit and branding are checked against the approved sample before packing.
